Alex Tuch scored his sixth goal of the postseason and earned the game's first star Sunday as he helped guide the Vegas Golden Knights to a 2-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets in Game 5, to win the series and reach the Stanley Cup Final in their inaugural campaign.
Tuch opened the game's scoring at 5:11 of the first period by capitalizing on a turnover by the Jets, who were fresh off a power-play.
As fate would have it, it was Winnipeg-born Ryan Reaves who tipped one in for the eventual game-winner at 13:21 of the second period.
The stick Ryan Reaves used to score the game-winning goal in the Western Conference final is heading to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Tuch, who closed out 2016-17 an American Hockey League All-Star, has found himself in a very different spot in his rookie NHL season, and among the team's top postseason contributors by earning his third NHLPA.com Playoff Performer of the Night nod.

Tuch brings a team-high three power-play goals and a pair of game-winners (tied alongside William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault) to the Stanley Cup Final.
Vegas awaits their opponent, which can be determined as early as Monday night with the Washington Capitals looking to avoid elimination as they host the 3-2 series-leading Tampa Bay Lightning at Capital One Arena at 8 p.m. ET.
