Chicago Blackhawks players have recently been making big dreams come true for some very deserving hockey fans through their #WhatsYourGoal initiative. The latest installment is another heartwarming example of the players’ generosity, commitment to community, and love for their fans.
Cammy is a little girl and a huge Duncan Keith fan. She was born unable to walk or speak, and her dream was to score a goal with an assist from her favourite player. Duncan Keith made it happen.
At the rink, Keith met up with Cammy to get to know her a little better, answer a few of her questions about him including, “How many teeth have you lost?” In case you’re wondering, the answer is 10.
Afterwards, Keith helped Cammy get suited up for her first ever time on the ice where he proceeded to guide her through a “Patrick Kane-style” breakaway and enabled her to score a goal. Cammy was thrilled, and her parents were rooting for her from the bench. Watch the Blackhawks TVvideo for yourself – but you might want to reach for the tissues.
