In the follow up to his Calder Trophy-winning season, Artemi Panarin, dubbed "Bread Man" by Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville, continues to endear himself to the Chicago fanbase amid the team’s current five-game win streak.
His Player of the Week performance began on a road trip to the Big Apple, starting at iconic Madison Square Garden. Panarin assisted on both goals in the Blackhawks' 2-1 win over the New York Rangers, which also ended Antti Raanta's shutout streak.
Before leaving town, it was on to Barclays Center to face the New York Islanders, where the Russian-born left winger came up huge on the power play, cashing in a pair of one-timers. He also tacked on an assist to help his team go three-for-three with the man-advantage, and skated away as the game’s first star in the 5-4 victory.
Next up was St. Louis for a Winter Classic matchup preview. Panarin tallied two game-tying assists, and an empty-netter, as the game’s third star in an eventual 6-4 win.
It was back home for a Sunday showdown against the San Jose Sharks on what the Blackhawks called “bobblebread night” – which, of course featured none other than a panarin bobblehead, complete with a loaf of bread.

The 25-year-old did not disappoint in the spotlight, extending his point streak to five games with a pair of assists.
Over the past week, Panarin tallied three goals and seven assists in the four games, helping the Blackhawks to close out Sunday's NHL action in first place.
