KHV Canada Postpones Top Four Community Announcement
Kraft Hockeyville announced today it will be postponing the Top 4 community finalist announcement for its KHV Canada 2020 program.
TORONTO, ONTARIO – MARCH 13, 2020 – Kraft Hockeyville announced today it will be postponing the Top 4 community finalist announcement for its Kraft Hockeyville Canada 2020 program in light of ongoing developments resulting from COVID-19 (coronavirus).
The team at Kraft Hockeyville would like to personally extend its heartfelt concern and well-wishes to the individuals and families affected by the virus. At all times, the health and safety of our partners, colleagues and community participants is our top priority.
In light of the ongoing developments and after consulting with medical experts, our partner, the National Hockey League (NHL), paused the 2019-20 season. “Kraft Hockeyville has maintained a strong partnership with the NHL and the NHLPA since the program’s inception in 2006,” said Bruno Keller, President of Kraft Heinz Canada. “The decision to pause the season was made with the health and safety of fans in mind and, together with our partners at the NHL and the NHLPA, we have collectively agreed that postponing the announcement of the Top 4 community finalists of the Kraft Hockeyville Canada 2020 program, which was planned for March 14, is the appropriate decision at this time.”
The Kraft Hockeyville team would like to extend a thank you to participants for their interest in the Kraft Hockeyville program. All previously submitted nominations and entries Kraft Hockeyville Canada 2020 are still valid. Every year we look forward to recognizing the finalists and winners of the Kraft Hockeyville program. The dedication of participating communities remains a constant reminder that the spirit of hockey is deeply rooted in what it means to be Canadian.
