Frisco, TX (Sports Network) - The Dallas Stars activated center Mike Ribeiro from injured reserve on Monday.
Ribeiro missed 15 games after undergoing a procedure to repair a throat contusion, which included a tracheotomy. The incident occurred January 6 against the Rangers when New York's Chris Higgins caught Ribeiro's neck with his stick.
The 29-year-old Montreal native has skated in 43 games this season, recording 10 goals and 23 assists. Ribeiro has led Dallas in scoring each of the previous three seasons and had appeared in 125 consecutive games prior to the injury. The Stars went 8-7-0 in his absence.
In addition, Dallas recalled right wing Raymond Sawada and left wing Francis Wathier from the club's AHL affiliate -- the Texas Stars. The two forwards have appeared in a combined seven games this year for the parent club. Neither has registered a point as of yet.
