Co-chairs of the NHL/NHLPA Competition Committee issued the following statement on new rules recommendations after the Competition Committee met today in Toronto.

Co-chairs of the NHL/NHLPA Competition Committee – Mathieu Schneider, NHLPA Special Assistant to the Executive Director, and Colin Campbell, NHL Senior Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations – issued the following statement on new rules recommendations after the Competition Committee met yesterday in Nashville.

Players One Step Closer to Approving Grandfather Use of Visors

At the Competition Committee meeting in Toronto on Tuesday, the NHLPA contingent discussed the issue of grandfathering visors and informed the committee that, subject to NHLPA Executive Board and NHL Board of Governors approval, this is something the players are now in favour of implementing.
