Brett Connolly's Favourite Flicks
1. Tee time
“I’ve got to go with Happy Gilmore. I’ve seen it so many times. I can’t even remember just how many times I’ve seen it. I’m a big Adam Sandler fan. It’s a movie that I grew up watching and I’m sure a lot of other people did too. That’s No. 1 for sure.”
2. And the seven Academy Award nominations go to…
“I really like The Shawshank Redemption. It was a great movie. The cast was excellent and the acting was fantastic. I’ve seen that one more than once too.”
3. All it’s quacked up to be
“We’ll go with the Mighty Ducks movies. I’d go with all of them. I was pretty young when I saw the first one. With playing hockey growing up and the good childhood memories, those movies definitely stick out for me. Those Ducks new jerseys were pretty cool, going back to those ones.”
4. Crime classic
“I’ve seen The Godfather a bunch of times. That’s definitely a classic. There are lots of good actors in it that are in their prime. I’m sure that lots of people would have it on their list of best movies of all time. For me, I’ve seen it on the buses and on the planes. You’re always watching movies.”
5. Maximus overdrive
“Gladiator. That’s another classic that I always enjoy watching. Russell Crowe is excellent in it. It’s a movie that draws you in from start to finish.”
