Alex Tuch posted his second multi-point game of the 2017-18 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a pair of goals to help the Vegas Golden Knights to a 5-3 win over the San Jose Sharks Friday and a 3-2 series lead.
Finishing the night with the game's first star, Tuch scored two goals to help Vegas build a 4-0 lead at 11:24 of the third period.
The marker stood as the game-winnng goal after the Golden Knights staved off a third-period rally by the Sharks, who scored three times within 6:09 to bring the score within one before Jonathan Marchessault sealed the game with an empty-netter.
Tuch was quick to point out his linemate, Oscar Lindberg, who was stepping in for his first Stanley Cup Playoffs game with the Golden Knights.
"The depth that we have, bringing [Lindberg] in who hasn't played all playoffs long, to have him come in and play with me and Eakin, he did really well," Tuch told reporters postgame.
The 21-year-old currently leads his team in postseason goals alongside William Karlsson with four, and during the regular season, led Vegas rookies in scoring (15-22—37). Tuch has been dazzling all series long, and earned his first NHLPA.com Playoff Performer of the Night in Game 1.
In a 7-0 win for the @GoldenKnights, who have yet to taste defeat in #StanleyCup Playoffs action, @alextuch89 smoothly cut through the opposition's defence like butter to earn Playoff Performer of the Night. In review here: https://t.co/RdMIsuvHTv pic.twitter.com/ApiL6hdq61
