NHL Announces Players For 2012 NHL All-Star Weekend

The NHL released the complete list of players who will be taking part in the 2012 NHL All-Star Weekend in Ottawa from January 26th - 29th on Thursday. In total, 36 All-Stars and 12 Rookies were named to the weekend festivities, joining the six players who were originally voted in by the fans through the 2012 NHL All-Star Fan Balloting™ presented by Sirius XM: Daniel Alfredsson, Erik Karlsson, Milan Michalek and Jason Spezza of the host Ottawa Senators, Dion Phaneuf of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tim Thomas of the Boston Bruins.

The 42 Players will be the focal point of the weekend celebrations, which will include the 2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Player Fantasy Draft (TM), the 2012 Molson Canadian Skills Competition (TM) and will culminate on Sunday, January 29th with the 2012 Tim Hortons NHL® All-Star Game at Scotiabank Place (4 p.m., ET, CBC, RDS, NBCSN).
