Carey Price continues to prove he is among the best in the game, as he became the first goalie in NHL history to start a season with a win each of his first 10 appearances.

Over the past week, Price has continued his flawless streak, keeping his Montreal Canadiens atop the Atlantic Division with 27 points and a +19 point differential.

It all started with a first star of the game performance against the Boston Bruins on November 8, where Price swatted away 41 of 43 shots in a 3-2 win.

As second star of the next game, and at the expense of the Los Angeles Kings, Price tied a 63-year-old team record with his ninth straight home win to start a season. With a 4-1 victory, Price made 23 saves to beat Charlie Hodge's 8-0-0 record from the 1960-61 season.

The ever-modest Habs star stayed humble on a third-period denial of Anze Kopitar saying, "I just threw a hand up and got lucky,".

Call it luck, skill, or a bit of both - Price then broke the franchise record in style, shutting out the Detroit Red Wings for his 10th win in as many starts, stopping all 25 shots helping his team establish a franchise record of consecutive home wins to start a season.

The shut out was Price’s second of the season, and 38th of his career, making him the NHLPA.com Player of the Week.
