Craig Anderson wrapped up his remarkable season with a strong performance as our NHLPA.com Player of the Week, amid being honoured for skating in his 500th NHL game.

Over the week, Anderson (3-0-1) helped guide the Ottawa Senators to a playoff spot by first picking up three points in a pair of back-to-back games against the Detroit Red Wings.

He turned aside 29 shots in his final game at Joe Louis Arena Monday to pick up a point in what was an eventual 5-4 shootout loss.

Ahead of a rematch between the two teams the next day at Canadian Tire Centre, Anderson was honoured Tuesday for skating in his 500th NHL game on March 25. He proceeded to earn the game’s first star in a 24-save shutout performance as the Senators ended a five-game losing streak.

With a day off Wednesday, Anderson turned aside 28 shots from the Boston Bruins Thursday as the Senators secured their playoff spot with a shootout victory - and was named first star of the game again.

On Saturday, Anderson's final game of the season, Ottawa clinched second place in the Atlantic Division with a 3-1 win against the visiting New York Rangers. Over the week, Anderson posted a 1.44 goals-against average coupled with a .943 save percentage.

Picking up the Ottawa Senators’ Bill Masterton Trophy nomination during a difficult time for his family, the netminder has exemplified the perseverance, strength, and dedication to hockey while maintaining his stellar form. He will look to carry his exceptional play into a first round matchup with the Bruins.
