Mike Hoffman put up the first multi-goal Stanley Cup playoff game of his career to help the Ottawa Senators take a 2-1 lead in their First Round series against the Boston Bruins.
Hoffman opened the scoring of the 4-3 overtime win for the Senators with a dazzling one-handed Forsberg-esque goal, after receiving a perfect pass at the opposing blueline that Erik Karlsson made from his own goal line.
He tallied his second goal of the game on the power play to make it a 3-0 game before the Bruins responded with three unanswered goals.
Though Bobby Ryan put away the eventual game-winner, Hoffman skated away as the game's first star.
Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First Round matchup will be played at TD Garden Wednesday.
